Outreach: Introduction
Carwarden House has maintained and developed close links with many of the local schools. The Local Authority (LA) fund our Outreach programme. We are actively supporting local schools who have pupils with special educational needs. We run and fund training programmes and hold monthly, focused seminars to which all schools in Surrey Heath and special schools on the west of the county are invited. In addition we loan resources, give advice to schools and offer staff from local schools the opportunity to visit us.
Our own pupils benefit from these local links and to date have been involved in joint music and drama ventures, sporting activities and fund raising events all of which make us an integral part of the local educational community. |
